the wisdom of it all

Way too burnt out to write tonight, but I'll throw a few sentences down anyway...

After consulting with band management and my coworkers, it seems the best thing to do is to have all four wisdom teeth yanked this friday. The general consensus says seven days will be enough to regain my ability to sing, and a weekend is the best time to do my first days of recuperation.

At the same time, I've personally reaffirmed my decision to stay awake through the procedure, if for no other reason than I'd rather not sleep through such a momentous moment in my life.

"Momentous moment." Isn't that redundant? Who gives a fuck?

And this all leaves me scared shitless at the prospect of having this done so soon. The closest thing I've ever had to surgery were sutures on various parts of my body. After making the decision tonight, I've been a bundle of nerves, and I haven't even called the oral surgeon yet. I hope he can squeeze me in, or maybe I hope he can't...

At the very least, I'll have something interesting to write about this weekend.

06 june 1999: didn't write :

06 june 1998: faceless : I saw a breathtaking tangerine sunrise silhouetting impassive Manhattan, and then our flying tin can's wheels hit the ground, and I found myself overtired, and very dazed by the circumstance that had transported me from Pacific to Atlantic on such short notice.
